Summertime adventures and holiday events 2015!

It has been a while since I last updated and a lot has happened that I wished I had updated daily or even weekly to look back on but always manage to look over blogging the last couple of years since I've had Mason. Our summer was busy with many family fun times including swimming in the pool, playing outside, family get together, and our first beach vacation as a family of 5!

This year (and last minute) we decided to go to gulf shores, Alabama. The kids and I have never been to the beach so it is something we were all excited about. It was a extremely long ride there but decided to go around 12am so the kids could sleep most of it. 8 hours later we arrived with the smell of salt water and almost 100 degree weather hitting us in the face, but that didn't slow us and our excitement down! We planned on staying from Monday and heading out Thursday evening. We spent most of the day laying on the beach, playing in the sand, and testing out the water. In between we went to new restaurants and game places for the kids. We played mini golf and went on a trial walk in hopes to possibly see an alligator or something of that sort, with no luck! At night we were exhausted and relaxed at the hotel with the kids. Here are some photos from our trip.

These are just some of the edited ones from my big camera. I took a lot with my phone too and posted on instagram!

School was just around the corner meaning I had a 4th grader and 1st grader this year! They were excited to start the new year with new teachers and seeing their old friends, as well as making new ones. They have done really well the last semester too since they started. Here are some photos of their first day of school :)!

Coltons 9th birthday was the next event to come up. Crazy I actually have a 9 year old and been blogging about him and even before he was born for longer! He decided to on a wwe theme and I had it at my house with some family and friends. He picked out games and other things he enjoys which usually revolves around games of some sort lol. Here are some birthday pictures from that day!

We had halloween and pumpkin patch session around the corner. The boys dressed up as super heros and Addy as hello kitty! I only got photos on my phone since it was all rushed and changed days because of weather but they loved their outfits and got plenty of candy and still do! We went to a different pumpkin patch this year and I loved it a whole lot more. It had a bigger variety to chose from and we will definitely go back and try out the things we didn't this year. Here are photos from the pumpkin patch.

Addys birthday was right around the corner and we decided to do something simple at home and in her new favorite theme which is dogs (Animals) since we recently got a new puppy named Knox which is a big 4 month old now. He is a mix between German shepherd and bloodhound. We had cake with friends and family for her big day! Here are some photos from it.

The last big holiday of the year besides new years was Christmas. I have the unedited photos on flickr so I will show a preview of those. The kids got a lot of things they loved of course and then some. I took more photos between all of this holidays, etc that I put on flickr and facebook but would end up blogging pages if I did all of them. We had an eventful, fun, crazy, memory filled year that we will never forget and photos to look back on too. Here are some photos from Christmas and some of the kiddos before they had a coal mining session with their daddy a few weeks ago.

Masons 3rd birthday and Easter 2015!!!

Once again I've gotten behind on blogging like everything else in my life... seems like life is 10x busier since I've had Mason and we've moved and on top of Addy going to school. So finding time to blog once a day let alone once a month can be tricky. In between the laundry, piles, homework, bills, grocery shopping, cleaning the house, trying to work out regular, and now since it is spring time and warmer we've been working on our landscaping/deck and getting the pool ready and open this year.

Now on to Masons party! We had his party at our house this year with family and some friends in a monster truck theme. He is obsessed with anything truck, car, train related just like any little boy. It turned out really well and there was a lot of kids here so the kids had a blast. I got him a custom made cake once again by someone I use regularly and it turned out AMAZING! I couldn't be more happy with it. Tasted just as good as it looked. I ordered a few monster truck themed decorations online and they turned out adorable with little gift boxes with monster truck bandannas, toys, etc.  He got a ton of toys he loved and was one blessed little boy. Here are some photos from his special day.

The next holiday to come up was Easter. I got them mint and navy outfits to match for the most part. Since mint comes in a million different shades. They still looked adorable though. We went to church that morning with Ryans dad and stepmom and also one of my sister in law/brother and law and their son. They kids had a blast finding eggs with all the others kids at church and Mason won some of the big money eggs! After that we met up at peeps house for our big family get together for Easter. We had lunch and then the kids got to find eggs there. They did different age groups to make it fair so they all got plenty and then some. I had piles and piles of candy for a week. Afterwards Ryans mom, stepdad, Brother, and sister in law with her kids came over and we let the kids search for eggs in our yard and just visited for a little bit. The whole day was wonderful and blessed to have a day spent with family and fun. Here are some photos from all of that!
